Ready to upgrade your life? You can start today

Humans are built to evolve. We are constantly growing and in the process shedding previous versions of ourselves. When we know better, we do better. And we repeat.

We spend all this time figuring out who we are, what makes us happy and what gets us excited to get up in the morning. If you choose to be an active participant in this process you will notice what is working in your life and what isn’t. That gives you the information you need to make adjustments.

Adjustments can be as big as ditching the big, six figure job that is killing your soul. (Raises hand)
Adjustments can be as small as replacing the old toaster you have had since college.

Maybe you know all this. But what I want you to remember is that money is the biggest tool you have (besides your brain!) to help your reframe and grow your life.

Money buys the materials (books, classes, etc.) that help us grow. Money buys the stuff (clothes, house decorations, etc.) that represent who you are. Money buys the fuel (good, healthy food) for your body. None of it is insignificant. It all matters.

Money is a tool to help you live your ultimate life.

And that’s awesome! And fun! Money is awesome! Money is fun!

If you are at a place where you are trying to evolve or move into a new chapter, move along the process by making some upgrades to your life.

Replace something that is worn out.
Donate or sell items that you no longer want or need.
Buy something new that represents your new chapter.

I’m always on the lookout for the next meaningful thing I can upgrade in my life. I keep my upgrades within our budget and prioritize them as I can.

This isn’t about consumption… it’s about making sure that all my stuff has a purpose aligned to my ultimate life.

Tattered running shoes no longer support my body appropriately.
Ripped throw pillows make my living room feel shabby.
I no longer have a use for the rack of corporate clothing in my closet.

Money is the ultimate tool to help you build your life. So next time you pull a green bill from your wallet, look at it a little differently. Money wants to know what it can do for you, it wants to have a purpose. Take the time to give it a meaningful one and watch your small upgrade start to change your life.
